ヴィーナ・ダス

1945年生まれ。ジョンズ・ホプキンズ大学、文化人類学教授。暴力および社会的苦しみにかんする編著、Mirrors of Violence: Communities, Riots and Survivors in South Asia （Oxford University Press, 1990）のほか、アーサー・クラインマンとの共編でViolence and Subjectivity（University of California Press, 2000）, Remaking a World （University of California Press, 2001）を送りだしている。最近の著作にLife and Words: Violence and the Descent into the Ordinary（California University Press, 2006）がある。
