マイケル・W・クルーン

シカゴ生まれ。ケース・ウェスタン・リザーブ大学英文学教授。Harper’s, Salon, Granta, the New Yorkerなどの文芸誌やBehavioral and Brain Sciences, PMLA, the Chronicle of Higher Educationなどの学術誌にエッセイや批評、論文を寄稿している。著書に、American Literature and the Free Market （Cambridge University Press, 2010）, Writing Against Time （Stanford University Press, 2013）, White Out : The Secret Life of Heroin （Hazelden, 2013）。White Outは文芸誌のthe New Yorkerとthe Millionsの2誌が2013年のベストブックに挙げたほか、NPRの名物ラジオ番組One Pointでも同年のベストブックに選出された。オハイオ州クリーヴランド在住。
