D・C・リンドバーグ

1935年に生まれる。1965年にインディアナ大学から科学史・科学哲学のPh.D.を取得。ウィスコンシン大学教授（科学史）、アメリカ中世アカデミー会員などを歴任。著書、John Pecham and the Science of Optics （1970）、Theories of Vision from al-Kindi to Kepler （1976）、Roger Bacon’s Philosophy of Nature （1983）、The Beginnings of Western Science （1992）。編著、Science in the Middle Ages（1978）、Reappraisals of the Scientific Revolution （1990）。
