ダニエル・オーフリ

1965-。ニューヨーク在住の内科医。アメリカ最古の公立病院・ベルビュー病院勤務。ニューヨーク大学医学部臨床教授。著書にMedicine in Translation: Journeys with My Patients (2010)、Intensive Care: A Doctor’s Journey (2013)、 When Doctors Feel: How Emotions Affect the Practice of Medicine (2013; 『医師の感情』医学書院 2016)、What Patients Say, What Doctors Hear (2017; 『患者の話は医師にどう聞こえるのか』みすず書房 2020)、When We Do Harm: A Doctor Confronts Medical Error (2020; 『医療エラーはなぜ起きるのか』みすず初号 2022) がある。New York Times紙やLancet誌で医療や医師と患者の関係について執筆を行うほか、医療機関初の文芸誌Bellevue Literary Reviewの編集長も務める。
