チャールズ・ファニーハフ

ダラム大学心理学教授。専門は発達心理学、とくに、幻聴・内言（内語）・イマジナリーコンパニオン（想像上の仲間）といった現象に関する認知発達心理学や、心の理論と個人差、ヴィゴツキー、文芸と認知、などを研究テーマとしている。著書に、The Baby in the Mirror: A Child’s World from Birth to Three（Granta, 2008）、Pieces of Light: How the New Science of Memory Illuminates the Stories We Tell About Our Pasts（Profile, 2012; 英国王立協会Winton Prize for Science Books 2013最終候補作）、The Voices Within: The History and Science of How We Talk to Ourselves (Profile, 2016; 『おしゃべりな脳の研究』柳沢圭子訳、みすず書房）。小説も2作書いている。The Auctioneer（Fourth Estate, 1999）、A Box of Birds（Unbound, 2013）。
