R・L・ナンバーズ

1942年に生まれる。1969年にカリフォルニア大学バークレー校から歴史学のPh.D.を取得。現在、ウィスコンシン大学教授（医学史・科学史）。Prophetess of Health:A Study of Ellen G.White （1976）、Creation by Natural Law: Laplace’s Nebular Hypothesis in American Thought（1977）、Almost Persuaded: American Physicians and Compulsory Health Insurance,1912-1920（1978）のほか、20世紀アメリカの創造論者の歴史をテーマとするThe Creationists:The Evolution of Scientific Creationism（1993）がある。
