カリ・ニクソン

ウィットワース大学の医療人文学・ヴィクトリア朝文学の課程で、感染症への社会的反応について教鞭をとる。また、『ハフィントンポスト』や『イエス！』誌、CNN.comなどで、一般読者向けに公衆衛生に関する研究を発表している。著書に、Quarantine Life from Cholera to COVID-19: What Pandemics Teach Us About Parenting, Work, Life, and Communities from the 1700s to Today（Tiller Press 2021, 『パンデミックから何を学ぶか』桐谷知未訳、みすず書房）、またKept from All Contagion: Germ Theory, Disease, and the Dilemma of Human Contact（State University of New York Press 2020）では、ヴィクトリア朝文学・大衆文化における人類の病気への反応の社会史をたどっている。
