ダン・ストーン

ロンドン大学ロイヤル・ホロウェイ校歴史学部教授。同大学ホロコースト研究所所長。ホロコーストの歴史以外にも、比較ジェノサイド論、ファシズム、「人種」概念の歴史、それに歴史理論などに関心を寄せている思想史家である。Patterns of Prejudice、Journal of Genocide Research、Critical Philosophy of Race、The Journal of Holocaust Research、Hypothesis and History of Communism in Europe各誌の編集委員、帝国戦争博物館のホロコースト・ギャラリー再編成のための学術諮問委員会議長を務める。近年の著書に、The Holocaust, Fascism and Memory: Essays in the History of Ideas (Basingstoke and New York: Palgrave Macmillan, 2013)、Goodbye to All That? The Story of Europe since 1945 (Oxford University Press, 2014)、The Liberation of the Camps: The End of the Holocaust and its Aftermath (Yale University Press, 2015)、Concentration Camps: A Very Short Introduction (Oxford University Press, 2019) など。近年の編著書にThe Oxford Handbook of Postwar European History (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2011)、The Holocaust and Historical Methodology (New York: Berghahn Books, 2012) など。邦訳は、Histories of the Holocaust (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2010) が『ホロコースト・スタディーズ──最新研究への手引き』（武井彩佳訳、白水社、2012年）として、The Holocaust: An Unfinished History (Pelican, an imprint of Penguin Press, 2023) が『終わらぬ歴史 ホロコースト』（大山晶訳、武井彩佳解説、みすず書房、2025年）として、また上村忠男編訳により『野蛮のハーモニー——ホロコースト史学論集』（みすず書房、2019年）が刊行されている。
